Nuevo Amanecer: Promoting the Psychosocial Health of Latinas
This study aims to assess, via a randomized controlled trial (RCT), effectiveness of a
culturally competent, community-based cognitive behavioral stress management intervention
for newly diagnosed Spanish-speaking Latinas with breast cancer. The 8-week psychosocial
intervention - “Nuevo Amanecer” (A New Dawn) – will be disseminated via this website once
the study is completed. The intervention was developed by input from Latino cancer survivors and community partners.
