Sarah Kaplan, MBA
Director of Service Engineering, Microsoft
Sarah Kaplan has spent the past 18 years working in Silicon Valley.
She has spent the past 5 years at Microsoft working on Outlook.com (formerly Hotmail)
to ensure one billion users are able to read and send email every day.
As Director of Service Engineering she manages a team of over 60 people who respond 24x7
to any issues that affect users and work closely with application developers to
evolve the service using new technology. Sarah was raised in Brownsville,
Texas and saw first-hand the difficulties people have accessing information
and services when they do not speak the local language.
She left Brownsville to attend the University of California at Berkeley.
After receiving her B.S. and B.A. she stayed in the area, married and now has two children.
She later received her MBA from Haas School of Business and is putting her past and present
to work through Circulo de Vida to improve the lives of those we serve.
