Blanca Batlle
Training Manager in Commercial Training & Development, Genentech


Blanca Batlle is currently a Training Manager in Commercial Training & Development at Genentech, a member of the Roche Group. She has over 13 years of experience in the biotech industry in roles ranging from project management, developing learning solutions and delivering training. She is a graduate of Notre Dame de Namur University (Belmont, Ca.) in Business Administration and Technology Management. Blanca has a passion for giving back by leading volunteer opportunities and fundraisers and has a history of partnering with community organizations, such as, Latinos Contra Cancer and Círculo de Vida.

Berta Alicia Bejarano, MBA, MA, CI
Director of Diversity, Linguistic & ADA Services, Kaiser Permanente


Berta Bejarano has more than 20 years of progressively responsible experience in diversity and language services. Ms. Bejarano works for Kaiser Permanente San Rafael in Marin County where she has been a diversity champion and leader. She oversees language services and access program, culturally competent care and Linguistic Standards, is the Chair of the Kaiser Permanente Diversity Council and is on the Executive Board of Directors for the Business Resource Group, Kaiser Permanente Latino Association. Ms. Bejarano has been with Kaiser Permanente for 15 years and her tenure initially began as a Certified Spanish Healthcare Interpreter. Ms. Bejarano has a graduate degree in Organizational Management from Stanford University, a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the University of California Berkeley, and possesses federal and state court certification as a Spanish Court Interpreter. She is a recent graduate from the MBA graduate program at SMU in Dallas, Texas. She was the recipient of the first KPLA Interpreter Award in 2000 and received in 2011 Women in Business award from the Business Journal in Northern, California. In October 2011, at National Diversity Conference, she was the recipient of the R.J. Erickson Individual Award for the development and dissemination of her successful bilingual prep workshop throughout Northern California region. She was named Latina Woman of the Year by NBC Latino. Ms. Bejarano values hard work, great friendships, and the loves of her life her two sons and her familia. She is dedicated to her work and to her family, and is respected by her peers and her leadership for her advocacy of bilingual staff and patients.
